BRICKELL CITY CENTER
2018

ROLE: art direction / design / animation

We were asked to develop visual media for Brickell City Center in Miami. My concepts focused on water, using abstract representation of flow and movement.

NEON FLOW

This particular concept had a lot of progression. I started out with a concept that was much more abstract and in a psychedelic direction that ended up toned down and more rooted in a realistic water concept. Starting out with X-Particles, I created a jelly-filled world that poured into a glass box and filled the space, as it danced around from side to side. That concept quickly morphed into a more realistic approach of what water might look like when poured into a glass box. Not satisfied with the looks i was getting in X-Particles, I decided to try out Real Flow and liked the results I was getting with it. The project ended with using Real Flow, water flowed in fill up a lit glass box illuminated in psychedelic pinks and purples.

COSMIC MARSHLAND

The Marshland concept was another abstract approach to the flow of water, with a particular focus on cosmic flow. I was imagining if stars could dance and flow the way water did, what might it look like? What would their Cosmic Dance look like? I kept to a more earth tone based color palette, keeping it more neutral and calming.
