FREETHINK created a business-centered education series called “B-School” which focused on six different successful entrepreneurs who have built their own business from the ground up. The series highlights tips and tricks of how one can build a business themselves and some of the ways to overcome the moments when you hit a crossroad. Since it is still an educational series, they wanted to direction to feel lighthearted and have some representation of lets say, old school elementary style books. But it is a serious topic of building a business, so it was important to make the style feel both child-like, yet informative in subject matter.

B-School| Episode Series

The series consisted of six different episodes. I designed most of the illustrations from scratch - most of them are drawn by hand and then pulled into Adobe Illustrator to outline and color. I transferred all of the illustrations into Adobe After Effects to assemble the pieces, animating each piece, many frame by frame, and using some plugins to add a nice “bouncy, whimsical” feel overall. Each entrepreneurs’ subject matter was quite different, so most graphics were personalized per episode.
